Confidence

Dear Beautiful Woman,

Hi, I’m Zy.

I’m a mum of two, a wife, of Filipina descent, and a global supply chain leader working with Fortune 100 companies and private equity organisations. My days are full — integrating family life, leading at work, serving on the worship team at church, training at CrossFit, and doing my best to honour God in every role I carry.

But like many women, my life isn’t only made of achievements and schedules. It’s also made of very real seasons.

Right now, my family and I are walking through one of the hardest ones — supporting my mum as she battles cancer.

Seasons like this have a way of slowing everything down. They remind you what truly matters. They strip away the noise and reveal what your heart is really anchored to.

And through every season — the joyful, the stretching, and the uncertain — there are three things that have helped me walk with confidence rather than fear.

1. Stewardship of Faith

Confidence doesn’t come from having everything figured out.

It comes from knowing who holds the future.

My confidence isn’t rooted in perfect plans or outcomes. It’s rooted in my relationship with Christ — learning daily to align my heart and mind with His.

When life feels heavy, I come back to this truth:

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.” — Proverbs 3:5–6

Faith reminds me that even in uncertain seasons, God is still writing a faithful story.

2. Stewardship of the Mind

The battles we fight most often are not external — they are internal.

When life stretches us emotionally, protecting our thoughts becomes essential. I’ve learned that confidence grows when we guard what we allow to take root in our minds.

God designed our minds to be renewed, strengthened, and sustained.

“Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” — Romans 12:2

When our thinking is aligned with truth, our courage follows.

3. Stewardship of the Body

Our bodies carry us through every season of life — motherhood, work, service, and the quiet moments in between.

For me, training in CrossFit isn’t just fitness. It’s stewardship. It’s a daily reminder that strength is built slowly, faithfully, one repetition at a time.

And the same is true for life.

Strong bodies support resilient minds. And resilient minds allow us to show up with confidence — even when life feels uncertain.

So if you’re walking through a season that feels heavy right now, here’s the encouragement I want to leave with you:

Confidence isn’t about having a perfect life.

Confidence is about being anchored in something deeper than circumstances.

When your faith is rooted, your mind is guarded, and your body is cared for, you can walk through any season knowing you are sustained.

And sometimes the strongest women are simply the ones who keep showing up with faith, even when the road is hard.

With love and encouragement,

Zy
